The Marie Trust Skills Development Service provide a Supported Volunteer Programme which aims to remove the barriers to volunteering and to support people to develop confidence and skills as a route towards employability.
- Have you been affected by homelessness?
- Have additional barriers such as previous offending, mental health or addiction issues?
Are you: Wanting to make changes in your life?
Motivated and wanting to engage in structured activity
Wanting to move towards employability
Would like support and work experience to do this?
We are currently inviting individuals affected by these issues to gain work experience within our supported volunteering programme
At present we are recruiting for a Kitchen Assistant.
This role will involve supporting our cook to prepare meals, dealing with health & safety issues in the kitchen, ensuring the cleanliness of all
surfaces and to use the catering lift to transfer food/utensils.
Please note this opportunity lasts for a period of 6 months. Travel expenses are provided throughout this opportunity.
