A newly published version of ‘Social Work Area Demographics’ (June 2011) is now available on the Glasgow City Council Internet.
The report provides demographic analysis of the new social work areas, including the multi-member wards, focussing on:
- the general population;
- child and older person vulnerability;
- estimates of disability and support; and
- social work clients.
The new version of the report has been further developed from its annual predecessor, ‘CHCP Demographics.’ It now includes commentary on multiple deprivation, and there is more ArcGIS mapping of data. Data on homelessness applications is now included. Analysis of social work clients only includes children and families and community care. Development work will take place to include criminal justice data in future instalments. However, in the meantime, demographic analysis of social work criminal justice by the Scottish Government is available alongside the report.
