Refugee Week Scotland is an annual UK-wide festival of arts, cultural and educational events that celebrates diversity and aims to raise awareness of refugee issues.
This year Refugee Week is taking place on 20-26 June, although there will be events running from Friday 17 June through to Thursday 30 June. There are currently 110 events planned within the festival, the majority taking place in Glasgow and Edinburgh.
The Scottish Refugee Centre have a number of opportunities coming up for volunteers to get involved in Refugee Week, as listed below, if you are interested in one or all of them please have a look at the website.
Blogging for Refugee Week, timing from now – June 30th
In order to build interest in the festival we have a Refugee Week Scotland blog that go live week commencing 16 May. The blog can cover a variety of areas including preparations in the run up to Refugee Week, interviews with those involved and associated refugee experiences and issues. During Refugee Week itself we will focus on the events themselves.
